Chris Ormerod is an Adelaide based sculptor and educator.

His practice relies heavily on trade learned skills, which he has been developing over forty years.

Ormerod’s work focusses on our understanding of the world and our place in this changing and sometimes confronting environment.

Ormerod has shown in several sculpture exhibitions both in SA and interstate. Several Palmer Sculpture Biennials, Cedars,

SXS Bondi NSW, SXS Cottesloe WA, Yerring Station Vic.

He has won several Awards OZ Minerals sculpture Award, SALA 2010 and 2015. He recently took out third place in the peer voting award at the 2020 Palmer biennial.

Ormerod has several public art commissions in SA

Ormerod’s work is held in several collections in, Elgee Park Vic. David Dryden SA to mention a few.
